Composer ~ Producer ~ cellist
Robin Creighton Ravazzini is a classically trained cellist turned composer, producer, and sync artist, known for creating emotionally rich, cinematic string music for TV, film, stage, and digital media. Her work blends expressive cello arrangements with modern textures and layered production. Since first opening a DAW in late 2020, she has built a catalog of original work signed to 12 sync libraries, with placements on ABC, Hulu, and several European television networks.
She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in cello performance from top conservatories and spent years performing under conductors such as Michael Tilson Thomas and Christoph Eschenbach. She has also shared the stage with Diana Krall, Chuck Mangione, and The Manhattan Transfer. Over time, she became increasingly aware of how the traditional classical world often leaves musicians underpaid, overextended, and creatively constrained.
Motivated by the desire to reclaim her artistry, Robin taught herself music production, composition, and the business of sync licensing. What began as a pivot quickly became a path toward creative renewal.
In addition to her work as a composer, Robin brings experience in arts leadership, having served as a Development Project Manager at the San Francisco Symphony and as Managing Director of a youth conservatory. These roles gave her deep insight into the structural challenges musicians face, as well as the strategic tools to help change them.
Through her company, Acacello Music, she now offers custom string recordings, neoclassical cover arrangements, and original scores for filmmakers, choreographers, and other creatives in need of music with cinematic depth and emotional nuance.
Robin is also the founder of Classical Creatives, a growing community and resource hub for musicians ready to explore flexible, fulfilling, and financially sustainable alternatives to traditional music careers. Her digital tools, including the free Music Matchmaker Quiz, help artists identify creative paths that align with their strengths, values, and goals.
Based in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Robin draws inspiration from nature, storytelling, and the resilience of midlife musicians who are boldly reshaping their creative lives. Her work centers on helping artists build careers that support artistic freedom, emotional well-being, and long-term stability.
